Why are moths attracted to wool rugs

Bugs are always looking for a safe area to live and propagate, therefore rugs, especially those under furniture, are ideal places for them to do so.

Vacuuming on a regular basis is a good start, and periodically inspect the backing for signs of wear. Examine the top carefully for any fibers that have vanished or appear to be different from the rest.

Wool rugs are a favorite meal of moths, and they will eat them up.

Some of them will move out if you put the rug in the sun for a few hours. They don’t like direct sunlight/heat.

Submersion cleaning is the only approach to truly get rid of moth eggs.
We do have a cure for the rugs that is non-odorous but gives the moths a bad taste to keep them away from the rugs.
